Simplicity BH600 is lightweight and portable. It does professional blind hem stitch. It features easy threading with one spool of thread. It is a single thread chain stitch machine meaning the stitches are not locked and can be pulled out. This blind hemmer uses a standard sewing machine needle unlike those heavy duty blind hemming machines that use curved needles.
The needle is actually parallel to the fabric compared to standard sewing machines in which needles are perpendicular. The stitch depth and length are adjustable. It has a skip stitch feature. The needle glides below the surface of the fabric to make stitches but doesn’t go all the way through it. It also has an adjustable tension.
The thread rises through the thread stand from the thread spool, then down to the stitch length knob. The thread then moves to the tension knob. From the tension knob it goes into the front cover portion. The clear plastic cover can be opened to reveal the needle mechanism. The thread flows through the needle eye and then trails either out the back or the front.
Simplicity BH600 has a slender free arm design and a built in sewing light to make your sewing area brightly lit.
